Each CDC is composed of 5 partner institutions from a given sub county comprising a total of 60 parents and 200 children. A CDC is usually registered as CBO (Community Based Organization) at a given sub-country. its the role of the YVCO board to provide the bylaws/constitution for a givrn CDC to register as CBO. Types of CDCs:

  1. Proposed CDC - This is a CDC that is pending registration
  2. Registered CDC - This is a CDC registered as CBO with the relevant authorities at either the sub county, district or national level
  3. Approved CDC - This is a CDC with not less than 60 registered parents and 200 children
